Stair Concept 4

INSPIRATION

Designed to contradict the structural nature of modern architecture, the organic shape of the staircase builds upon leaf forms in the natural environment, materialising it into a physical design. To complement its organic structure, thin blackbutt timber is used in its construction, unrefined colour adding visual texture to staircase. The steep extension of the stairs onto the upper floor mimics the rough flow of water, intentional spacing accentuating the delicate and fragile aesthetic of the staircase.
